Tzuri

With him and his brothers growing, Tzuri's parents let them play outside of the den more recently. Under supervision, of course, but still in a larger area than the inside of the den. The roly-poly pup had engaged his brother, Killian, in play almost as soon as they exited the den. This was the time of their lives where, consciously or unconsciously, they were figuring out the hierarchy within their litter, and, although he didn't consciously think it, Tzuri attempted to dominate his brothers in play.

Tzuri's tail scythed the air before he bounced towards Killian. Having somewhat stubby legs, the black pup didn't jump far nor did he achieve pinning the grey pup as he had planned. When he landed short, he blinked but barked in mock defense.

"I'm gonna bite your tail!" he barked, trying not to giggle and failing.

Killian

"Hey!” The boy yelped as his brother came tumbling into him. The brothers have been quite playful lately, a sneak attack was almost always predictable between the litter, and it wasn’t long until Killian noticed Tzuri trying to eat his tail, and rolled out of the way before his brother could get to him. ”I don’t think so!" He cried through laughter.

Leaping to his paws, the pup pounced forward towards Tzuriel, sending the two of them rolling several feet through the dirt until he managed to pin his brother on his back.

”Ha! I gotcha!” He giggled, completely unaware of the dangerous pressure he was putting on his brother’s shoulders. ”What? You’re just going to let me win that easily??"

Tzuri

The blueberry was called such mostly because of his floofy fur, but it was also because he was round. His mother's milk was full of nutrients, and they had spurred the pup's small body to gain significant weight. Unlike his siblings, though, who seemed to gain strong puppy muscles as well, Tzuri had remained fat with stubby legs and puffy cheeks. On his back, the black pup was a turtle and suffered the same problems.

"Kill...llian-!" he huffed, short legs waving futilely in the air."Can't....breathe, Kill!"

He tried to bend and bite his brother then attempted to kick him. It was no use--he was on his back, unable to turn over, and his brother's weight was crushing him, hurting him. Little black spots were flashing before his eyes now, and the world swam in the edges of his vision. In the wavering purplish-red environment outside the corners of his eyes, something blacker than night but as solid as smoke came into view.

He's trying to kill you, it whispered, its voice sand against stone. Only the strong survive, and you are decidedly weak.

Terror, sorrow, and panic swept through Tzuri. No! The Black Wolves were only in his dreams--nightmares! They had never appeared while he was awake before. He squeezed his eyes shut and tried to fight harder. But that didn't make the horrible wolf go away.

Why don't you let us help you? it hissed sympathetically in his ears.Just say so, and he will never hurt or humiliate you ever again! Just swear fealty to our Lord. That's all!

Tzuri went cold, his eyes flying open. The Black Wolf was there, over Killian's shoulder, wispy black teeth poised about the pup's neck. The black pup began to fiercely flail despite only being able wheeze and cough.

"No! The One--cough!--The One is my Lord!" Tzuri howled.

The Black Wolf recoiled, an expression of deep disgust on its shifting translucent features. As his vision darkened, Tzuri saw the wolf dissolve into the shadows. Satisfied that it was gone, he allowed himself to pass out.

Killian

His brother's plea for air sent alarm flaring though his body, and immediately he let go. "I-I'm sorry! I don't know what happened! I...Tzuri...?" Before him he watched his brother's form change. He wasn't moving, and oh, his eyes! Killian witnessed his brother's agony in helpless terror. What had he done? What had he done?

"Tzuri! Tzuriel! Wake up, wake up! You're scaring me!" He cried, pawing at his brothers face, trying to bring his brother's focus back on him. Tears outlined the rim of his eyes, as he began to shake. What was happening to him?! Why wasn't he doing anything?!

Suddenly Tzuri screamed, and Killian tumbled backwards in utter surprise. His words made no sense, but it scared him all the same. "Oh Zuri, I'm so sorry!" He wailed, now bawling as he approached his brother once again, but now Tzuri's body went limp and he was silent."Wake up! Please wake up!" he cried. His blue brother looked so lifeless...

He turned around, looking for someone, anyone. "Help!" He cried out into the opening. "Mama!" He wailed through tears before turning back to his brother, pawing his face, begging him to wake up.

Tzuri

From the swimming darkness, Tzuri heard his brother's voice, and it was terrified and desperate. The black pup fought his way through the abyss.

"Kill? Oh no! Killian!" he called.

He fought the tide of darkness that held him with sharp claws. Within this lake of formlessness, the slipping sand-voices hissed at him threats and cruel promises. He would pay for his denial-! Tzuri knew he had to get away and do so fast--but he was getting so tired.

So very tired.

I'm sorry, Killian! You did...nothing...wrong...

Kane

Kane was walking about near the main den, as he heard his cousins playing about near the main den site. He enjoyed moments like this, where there was nothing put playful sounds, and peaceful winds about. That all changed though, with the shouts and cries that he never wanted to hear. Killian was shouting for Tzuri to wake up, and Kane knew that their playing had gone too far. Kane quickly ran over to the duo, to see Tzuri lifeless on the ground, and Killian beside him, begging for him to wake up. Kane almost went into a panic himself, not being a Vicar, and knowing what to do. All of a sudden, a calm voice came to his ear

Breath life into him.Kane didn't realize at first who it was, but he listened to the instructions. He calmly walked over to Tzuri, and put his mouth next to his. With one small breath, he tried to push air into Tzuri's mouth. He didn't know how quickly this would work, but he prayed to the one that this would help his younger cousin come to life again.

Killian

He did not hear Tzuri's cry, he did not even hear Kane come over and breath into his silent brother. All he did was cry as he cradled his Tzuriel's little blue head. Save him! He cried inwardly to Kane, to the One, to anyone who would hear his cry.

I did this...He thought in dismay.

I hurt him!

Everything seemed slow motion even though his heart raced awfully fast. It would be okay, Kane would help him, wouldn't he? "I'm so sorry..." He whispered in a wavering voice. "I'm so sorry."

Without even realizing it, his paws pushed him up and ran into the woods. He couldn't bear to stay there any longer, he couldn't. All he wanted was to be away, anywhere but there.

I'm so sorry...

I'm a monster.

D': This is so sad... Killian and Tzuri's relationship is so sweet, though, they really care about each other. Poor Killian so guilty :c
