Amara

Spring! It was finally here! Though she had been melancholy in the beginning, with each passing day Amara felt like she could float a little more.
The sun had set and she had been out chasing the shadows in the open field, away from her packmates so they didn't see her insanity.

Laughing the she wolf, began dancing, remembering on the celebrations her old pack held at the turning of the season and suddenly she remembered the song that went to the festival.

"Flowers, bend and shake,
dance upon the wind and take,
swirling and twirling..."
Amara crooned melodiously as she danced, watching some petals from early flowers dance upon the wind, her tail wagging. What she didn't hear, in all the movement and singing, was the large paws heading her way.

Kane

The days were getting brighter and warmer, as a clear signal that spring had arrived. Life was blooming again, and Kane had a small pep in his step. The day was getting close to evening  As he looked around the territory, he spotted a familiar face. Amara was spinning around, and doing weird movements. He got closer, and noticed how she was singing at the same time.

A playful smirk appeared on his face, as he decided to add onto her lyrics."And leaving yourself hurling." Kane laughed, knowing that Amara heard the joke that he just told her. "How are you doing on this fine afternoon?"

Amara

When Kane's voice echoed through her ears it took every ounce of will power for Amara not to face plant into the pollen laden field. She managed to get her back paws righted and she landed safely.

She giggled madly at Kane's joke and cocked her head to the side, trotting over to greet her friend.
"it's wonderful. Still light enough for dancing and singing but cool enough not to get too exhausted! How are you Kane? Don't you ever dance?" Amara asked, a smile on her face as she faced her friend, not realizing that dancing was something completely new to the pack.

Kane

Amara's enthusiasm was enjoyable to watch for Kane. He was glad that she was enjoying her life here in Aryn now, and her excitement over the new spring coming was a good thing to see. She then started to talk about things that never had crossed his mind ever before. Dancing? The thought never even came to his mind with all the tasks that he needed to accomplish as a Master Warden. She then brought the dancing to him, and Kane's eyes shot wide open."Me? Dance? Oh no, no, no, I don't dance!" Kane started to back away a bit. He may like to have fun, but doing something that looked weird to him did freak him out a bit.

Amara

Amara watched curiously as Kane backed up before his words echoed through her ears. Oh now really? A big bad warden afraid of lil ok dancing?

Amara felt a predatory grin crack her lips and she crouched down, wriggling her haunches and tail.
"surely a big bad warden such as yourself Can learn how to dance?" Amara said, innocence radiating from every fiber of her being besides her eyes.

She was gonna get a dance out of Kane by nightfall if it's the last thing she did! Amara launched herself forward, tackling the big white warden and laughter coming from her.

Kane

It was clear that Amara was trying to tease the large Warden into dancing. She even teased him calling him a big bad Warden."Now hold on a min...." Kane wasn't even done with his sentence, when Amara suddenly tackled him into the ground. A large thud emitted from the ground, as Kane was not expecting the playful tackle."Okay, okay." Kane then got up, and stood still, not making another move."So, how does one dance?"

Amara

Amara rolled off of Kane and gently turned to face him. Her eyes were alive with energy and she began to explain.
" do you remember how you taught me to defend and fight when I first joined the pack? Honestly dancing is like that without teeth meeting fur or pain being inflicted." Amara explained, and then showed what she meant by backing up smoothly on her paws and spinning as if to avoid a bite to her face and ended up to the side of Kane again.

Kane

Kane stood there, and watched as Amara spun around his large body. She made it look like with was done with the greatest of ease, as he felt the air being whisked around him, amazed at what she was able to do. She talked about how it was like his sparring, but without attacking the other. Kane then took a deep breath, thinking that it couldn't be too hard, if it was like fighting.

Kane then tried to duplicate what Amara had just done. It was clearly with less grace, and fluidity that she had, and there were large thuds with every step in his novice dance. He then landed on all four, slightly out of breath. This dancing was one of agility more than strength, and Kane was learning the hard way.

Amara

Amara smiled as Kane literally gave dancing a whirl. She gently walked up to him and spread his shoulders placing his paws wider.
" when the bigger wolves dance you are allowed more room. Sort of like you are claiming a piece of turf to fight on and those who try to move you will fail. I know it seems weird and clumsy, but if you can get your muscles into dancing you can pick up speed for dancing and it will lean your body." Amara explained before moving slower.

Back paws first, front sliding to the spot where back paws use to stand. She slowly tilted her body, back right paw crossing behind her left  and her front left planting firmly on the ground. She threw her weight to the right and she twirled again hoping the slow motion break down would help Kane.

Kane

Kane stood still, and watched as Amara did the same dance as before, but in a slower moving manner. Kane tried to replicate her moves, though he wasn't as graceful, or used much enthusiasm as she did. He landed his attempt at dancing, while nudging Amara on her shoulder on accident.

"It seems though you've been doing this for a long time." Kane laughed, as he then again playfully nudged her on the shoulder. Even though this, dancing, was hard, it seemed to be quite enjoyable to do. There was no doubt that it was something that others in Aryn would want to do as well.

Amara

Amara watched as Kane moved to try the move again, still not as graceful as she but definitely more fluid. He might not be excited about it but she got him to dance.

When he tapped her shoulder and dramatically, like the first time meeting him when he gave a shoulder nudge she flopped over. She gasped dramatically.

"much improved. Soon you will out dance me Kane!" she smiled. Kane then stated a fact and she sat up.
"I've been dancing since I was 6 months old. In my old pack it was tradition. Especially those destined for high ranks." Amara explained, sounding more then humble as she spoke about Sombra. She then yawned discreetly. Well as discreetly as she could.

"I'm sorry about that. I did a border run today and came back to only dance and seem a fool in front of you." She said, leaning playfully against him.

Kane

Kane was quite impressed with all the apparent dancing that Amara had been through. It felt like a good way to loosen up, and to spend energy on when a day is slow. He then thought about all the others in Aryn, who would absolutely love to try out the dancing Amara had.

Kane chuckled a bit at the joke that Amara gave him."It's alright. Although I'm sure that many others in Aryn would love to learn how to dance." As Amara nudged his shoulder, he gave her a wink, as he sat down for a moment, enjoying the nice spring weather.

Amara

Amara snorted sleepily.

Others? It would be a miracle to get anyone to dance. It took a little push with Kane but Amara knew others would be much more resistant to the idea. It after all was a very foreign concept and not a whole lot of aryainians would look favorably on a southern tradition.

"the day the lord and lady do a dance together I will surely believe you." Amara stated playfully, a picture in her mind of lord Alcatraz and lady Athena doing a wedding dance.

Kane

Kane thought about who Amara referred to, and to him, it didn't seem like it was something impossible. His aunt and uncle loved each other very much, and they always enjoyed doing something together, no matter what it was."You know, I'm sure those two would be the first to volunteer in a dance together." Kane looked over to Amara, and gave her a wink."As long as you are willing to offer it to them."

Amara

Amara raised an eyebrow at Kane. Seriously? Lord and Lady doing the wedding dance? She would freak out on the sidelines if it could be done.

"Kane if you can convince your uncle and aunt to do dance lessons for one of the most complicated dances between two wolves then I will gladly, glady  be your pillow and bring you some honey comb."

She then felt the tiredness crash over her. She leaned now against Kane, whom was much softer then the grass and explained sleepily.
"I miss home sometimes. Dancing reminds me of my family and brother. Maybe one day we can dance again Kane? " Amara asked.

Kane

Kane laughed at the sudden response that Amara was giving him. She wanted to really have them dance, and Kane could feel in his heart that they wouldn't object at all. Well, maybe Alcatraz, but his aunt was good at convincing him to do stuff."I'll see what I can do."

Kane then felt Amara resting on his side. He had been used as a pillow many times before, and it was nothing that he was going to be shocked by. Amara talked about family, and how dancing reminded her of them. Kane could understand why, feeling that dancing did bring joy and happiness."Hopefully we will." Kane then leaned on Amara, putting his arm around her body, making her feel more comfortable. Amara was a close friend to him now, and he was starting to enjoy every moment, just like every other friend he had.

Amara

Amara felt Kane shift, encasing her in warmth. Her eyes becoming heavy as she slowly and tiredly responded.
"I like dancing with you. It's nice and I don't feel so.... what's a good word for being lonely?"

Amara thought quietly, the warmth Kane was projecting making her comfortable and even more tired. She tried to stay awake she really did.

But sadly, the tiredness and the heat, and the act kane was an amazing soft pillow and great friend made Amara melt against him, soft snores coming from her as she slowly slipped into dream land.

Kane

Kane stayed where he was for a moment, listening to the confession that he was hearing from Amara. The confession of not being lonely with him was not what he was expecting though. Did she really feel this way about him? Before he could even say anything, he felt Amara falling asleep on his shoulder.

Kane's fluffiness had made another fall asleep, looking around to see Aryn getting darker. With a gentle touch, Kane was able to get Amara on his back, and carried her back to the main den, where she could get better sleep.
